Pontiac carmaker General Motors is preparing to introduce a smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicle to compete with small cars from Ford and Honda. It will be built on the same platform as the Buick Verano, which goes on sale in the spring. GM and its partner, Honda, will introduce the car in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of this year. They will also introduce it in Europe and Asia. GM is targeting the midsize segment, which is growing as car buyers seek compact and midsize vehicles. The automaker is taking a different approach to midsize vehicles than its rivals. Do not forget to verify a used car with Pontiac VIN decoder.
