The McLaren F1 is a single seater, grand tourer, and sports car that was produced by the McLaren Group, and was the first car to use carbon fibre as a structural material. It was the first major sports car to be designed using a computer aided design process. It was unveiled at the International Motor Show in Geneva on 22 February 1989, and was first shown to the public at the 1990 Frankfurt Motor Show.
