The Opel car is a model of automobile manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Opel from 1937 to 1954, and from 1977 to 1982. From 1937 to 1954, it was marketed as the Rüsselsheim and from 1977 to 1982, as the Ponton. In May 1934, the Rüsselsheim-based A.G.
